Made-to-order process

Made-to-order means selecting a piece from my catalogue and having it built for you. While the design itself is established, there is often scope for personalisation—such as the choice of timber or finish—allowing the piece to be tailored to your preferences without departing from the core design. By contrast, bespoke work is unique, created to your own specifications.

The made-to-order process follows a clear path:

  1. Select your piece
Browse the catalogue and choose a design you love—for example, the Small Bench in Oak. Each product listing includes the price and an estimated lead time, which typically ranges from 3 to 6 weeks depending on availability of materials and current workshop schedule.

  2. Place your order
For smaller items, full payment is taken at the time of ordering. For larger pieces—or for bespoke commissions—a 40% deposit is required. Catalogue items can be adjusted to suit your needs, though changes may affect both pricing and lead time. I encourage you to reach out if you’d like to discuss custom options.

  3. Order confirmation
Once your order is received, I will confirm all details and provide a clear timeline for completion. During the build, you are welcome to be as involved as you wish. In some cases, I can offer choices such as the grain pattern for a seat or tabletop. I also share progress updates on Instagram, allowing you to follow your piece’s journey from workshop to completion.

  4. Completion and delivery
When the piece is finished, I will confirm dispatch and ensure it is carefully prepared for delivery to your home.
