  • Privacy Policy: how we handle your personal information.

Our products

  • Goods are described on our website and other materials. Pictures and descriptions are for guidance only — colours and sizes may vary slightly.

  • If you request custom-made items, you are responsible for making sure your specifications are accurate.

  • All Goods are subject to availability.

  • We may need to make changes for safety or legal reasons, and we’ll let you know if that happens.

Your personal information

  • We handle your information according to our Privacy Policy.

  • We may contact you by email, post, or other electronic methods. By ordering, you agree to this.

Ordering from us

  • The product descriptions on our website are not a formal offer. Your order becomes binding only once we send you an Order Confirmation by email.

  • You are responsible for checking your Order Confirmation and letting us know straight away if there are any mistakes.

  • We can decline orders, but will tell you why if we do.

  • Quotes are valid for 30 days unless withdrawn earlier.

  • Changes to an order after confirmation must be agreed in writing.

Prices and payment

  • Prices are shown on our website at the time of order (or as agreed in writing).

  • You must pay when ordering by debit/credit card. We may take payment immediately or before delivery.

Delivery

  • Standard delivery is within 8 weeks of order, unless agreed otherwise. Bespoke items may take longer, but we’ll confirm timelines in writing.

  • If we don’t deliver on time, you may have the right to cancel your order and receive a full refund.

  • If you cancel after late delivery, you must return any Goods received (we’ll cover return costs).

  • We normally deliver within the UK. If we agree to deliver abroad, you are responsible for any import duties or taxes.

  • Goods become your responsibility once delivered or collected.

Ownership of Goods

  • You own the Goods only once we’ve received full payment.

  • If you don’t pay in full, we may cancel your order and ask you to return the Goods.

Cancelling or returning orders

  • You can cancel before the Contract is made with no cost.

  • For most items, you have 14 days from receiving your Goods to cancel, unless they are bespoke/custom-made.

  • If you cancel, Goods must be returned in good condition at your own expense. We’ll refund the product price (excluding delivery charges).

  • If Goods are faulty or not as described, you have the right to a full refund, repair, or replacement at no cost to you.

Refunds

  • We’ll refund you within 14 days of receiving returned Goods.

  • Refunds will be made using the same payment method you used.

  • If Goods were handled beyond what’s reasonable (e.g. used in ways you wouldn’t in a shop), we may reduce your refund.

Product quality

We promise that Goods will:

  • Be of satisfactory quality.

  • Match their description.

  • Be fit for any purpose you told us about before buying (if reasonable for us to rely on that).

This doesn’t apply if problems are caused by your own materials or instructions.

If something beyond our control happens

If something outside our reasonable control prevents us from fulfilling the contract, we’ll let you know as soon as possible. Our obligations will be paused until the situation is resolved.

Privacy

We follow GDPR and other data protection laws. In short:

  • We only collect what’s necessary.

  • We only use data for the reasons we state.

  • We keep it secure.

  • You have rights over your data (e.g. access, correction, deletion).

For any privacy questions, contact: adam@adamplaterwoodworks.co.uk.

Our liability

  • We don’t exclude responsibility for fraud, negligence causing injury or death, or breaking other legal obligations.

  • Otherwise, we are not responsible for:

    • Losses we couldn’t reasonably foresee when the Contract was made.

    • Business-related losses (e.g. lost profits) if you’re buying as a consumer.

Disputes and governing law

  • These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

  • Disputes can be taken to the courts of England and Wales, or (if you live there) Scotland or Northern Ireland.

  • We aim to resolve issues quickly — please contact us first if you have a complaint. We’ll respond within 5 working days with a proposed solution.
